Jim Phillips, BSc (Hons), MA, MIEEM

Jim is a Director of JPC, and has substantial experience in the parks and leisure industry, and has an Honours degree in Environmental Biology and a Masters degree in Management. He is an experienced Project Manager having been involved in a wide range of green space related projects including Heritage Lottery Fund programmes; service development and planning; business planning; green space strategies; Green Flag assessments and applications; PPG 17 assessments; staff training and parks management plans. 
 
His expertise is primarily in management of and strategic planning for open space and service delivery. He has built up a considerable reputation for best practice within this sector. He has spoken at several National Conferences. He is also the Author of an ILAM (now ISPAL) publication, Service Planning for Park Rangers.

His skills and knowledge related to open space therefore covers strategic planning, local management, scientific/environmental understanding, and financial awareness. This breadth of awareness is found rarely in one professional.

Philip Chichester, BA (Hons), BTP, MRTPI

Phil is a Director in JPC, and has extensive experience in the planning and leisure industry in both public and private sector.  Phil has an Honours degree in Town and Country Planning and a further Bachelor degree in Town Planning, focused on Urban Planning.

Phils expertise is in strategic planning, particularly in relation to sport and green space, and provides technical expertise in GIS mapping.   His previous role as the South West Region Planning Manager for Sport England provided an indepth knowledge of the planning and open space field.  Phil has delivered numerous courses for both CABE space and Sport England on producing sports and green space strategies.

Gemma Killick, BA (Hons), MTP

Gemma is a consultant at JPC and has 5 years experience working on land and planning within the private development sector.  She has also project managed marketing accounts for several national organisations. 

Gemma has an Honours degree in Geography and a Masters in Town and Country Planning.  She is currently working with the Bath Preservation Trust on producing a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for sustainability in the historic environment, a project sponsored by the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG).

Graham Jones, Leisure and the Environment - website

Graham is a town planner by training and a sports and recreation planner by experience. He has worked in local government, for Sport England, and with a large private consultancy. He established Leisure and the Environment in 1996, and has since been involved in a wide range of sport and recreation planning projects. JPC have worked with LandE on many projects over the last few years, including many PPG17 assessments, play strategies and playing pitch studies.

Andrew Hartley, BSc (Hons)

Andrew has an Honours degree in Geography, specialising in geographical mapping and analysis. He is a GIS Specialist with extensive use of ESRI ArcGIS applications and interfaces for data use, mapping, analysis and cartography. He has extensive experience of using VBA and VB in the production of simple commands to complex application extensions that critically enhance the functionality and efficiency of working practices, software and projects. He is experienced in the full life cycle of GIS project management and consultation, with an excellent investigative mind and adaptability to quickly learn new system.

Peter Wilkinson, The Next Field Ltd

Peter has a BSc Honours Degree in Geography and an MSc in Recreational Land Management - plus Diploma level qualifications in management and marketing. He has worked in countryside recreation, management and planning, and more recently in urban park management.

Peter has developed an extensive knowledge base across a range of environmental and green space disciplines - from business strategy and organisational development to project management and regeneration; and from forestry and nature conservation to play, community engagement and marketing.

He became a Director of GreenSpace in September 2001. As Chair of the Green Space National Forum, Peter leads the regional development programme for the national charity - as well as Chairing his own regions forum GreenSpace South West, which meets quarterly in Exeter. 

Peter has been a Green Flag judge for five years and is also a member of the Enabling Panel of CABE Space, principally advising local authorities on the development of Green Space Strategies via training events or direct enabling support.

David Lord, RQA Consultants - website

David is a Director of RQA consultants, who provide professional advice in sport and leisure consultancy. JPC have worked with RQA on several projects including sport and recreation studies and PPG17 assessments.

C2J Architects - website

C2J are a company of architects, town planners, environmental and urban designers. JPC have worked with them on many projects from small scale housing developments of 3 dwellings to large scale developments of several hundred houses and associated infrastructure.
